ORLANDO–Come Out with Pride, the annual celebration of the LGBT community, will be held this coming weekend October 10 and 11, highlighted by the “Most Colorful Parade,” sponsored by Macy’s. The parade takes place at Lake Eola beginning at 4 pm on Saturday.
On Thursday at 7pm, the pride festival will kickoff with a launch party at The Veranda, 111 N Summerlin Ave., featuring music, entertainment, mingling and a silent auction. Friday at 8 pm Pride on Church Street takes over Hamburger Mary’s, 110 W. Church Street. The event is admission free. Enjoy live entertainment from Amy & Freddy, NYC’s Red, Hot & Funny Bob the Drag Queen, Beth Sacks, and our very own Ginger Minj & The Minx! Music beats to play till 11:30pm will be from Orlando’s DJ JB Burgos.
On Saturday, The Big Gay brunch is the pre-parade must-go event, held at The Abbey, 100 S Eola Dr. Priced at $35, The Big Gay Brunch featuring an amazing brunch spread from Tim Webber Events, bottomless mimosas and a Bloody Mary bar, plus DJs and live performances. Club H2O takes over the Lake Eola International Bridge where, for $10, you can view the fireworks at 9 pm. Feeling a little more elegant? For $75, you can add dinner to the mix with five gourmet courses. It’s all on the Promenade.
The official After Party begins at 10 pm at the Parliament House, 410 N Orange Blossom Trail, with DJ Brianna spinning the hits. Footlight Players take to the stage at 10pm & 12am with special guest Mimi Marks. All for $10 before 11 pm, or $15 is you’re late to the party.
