ORLANDO—The 50-year-old Orange County man tied to threatening to make Pulse Night-club style attacks on Wilton Manors over the Labor Day weekend is in jail again, and this time he is unlikely to be released anytime soon. Ironically, his latest arrest charge is for crimes unrelated to his Facebook claims to “(kill) you fags faster than the cops kill n**gers. It’s time to clean up Wilton Manors from all you AIDS infested losers.”
After the initial spate of threats on Facebook, the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force arrested Jungwirth in the Bay Hill area of Orlando while walking on Citrus Chase Drive neaer his mother’s house. While the official charge by the Feds is one count of “threatening communications,” Jungwirth is now also wanted to appear in Broward County for a missed court appearance in connection with a previous misdemeanor violence of walking off without paying a check at Rumor’s Bar in Wlton Manors.
A Broward County judge on Saturday held an emergency hearing to issue an arrest warrant for Jungwirth for a violating bond conditions in an unrelated pending misdemeanor case. Jungwirth’s attorney Ron L. Baum, said that his client did not have enough time to make the drive from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale for the court appearance. The judge did not accept that excuse and issued an order for Jungwirth’s immediatee arrest for parole violations.
The judge Saturday said Jungwirth’s violation of bond conditions and “escalating concerns of public safety,” coupled with his failure to appear in court, called for the “extraordinary measure” of revoking his bond and issuing an arrest warrant.
Eventually it was troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol who finally took Jungwrith into official custody. According to Orlando Police Lieut. Richard Ruth the charge was “driving on a suspended license.” He was arrested in Osceola County.
Jungwirth is now being held in federal custody at the Seminole County Jail, and is expected to make his first court appearance before a judge on Tuesday at the Federal Courthouse in Atlanta. Only after that case makes it way through the court system will he be returned to Broward County to face his probation violation changes.
The Wilton Manors Police Department has been working in conjunction with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces in Miami and Tampa, along with the Orlando Police Department, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
